Life for 17-year-old Makoto Konno is filled with fun days of school and hanging out with her two best friends, Chiaki
and Kousuke. And then she finds herself with a strange ability to leap (or jump) back in time. A strange ability that at
first saves her life, but then allows her to not be late to school, to know the answers on any surprise exams and to
avoid any troublesome mishaps. It is only when Makoto chooses to use this ability to avoid some of the more personal
issues that arise with her friends, do events become both complex and painfully difficult - the simple gift that she
once took for granted suddenly becomes a troublesome burden.

Makoto Konno è una studentessa delle superiori che un giorno inciampa nel laboratorio di scienze e per sbaglio urta
un congegno per il viaggio nel tempo. Dopo questo avvenimento scopre che se compie un salto abbastanza lungo riesce a
tornare indietro nel tempo ad un momento a scelta della sua vita.



Makoto inizia quindi ad utilizzare questo potere per risolvere problematiche della sua vita o semplicemente per
divertirsi. Ma a questo punto scopre che ogni sua azione va ad influire sugli eventi quasi sempre in modo catastrofico e
viene costretta ripetutamente ad usare il suo potere per porre rimedio a situazioni problematiche che lei stessa ha
causato.



Quando il suo amico Chiaki Mamiya le confida di essere innamorato di lei, Makoto torna indietro nel tempo per evitare di
sentirselo dire e continuare ad avere un rapporto d'amicizia con il ragazzo, finché non stravolge i rapporti con i
suoi amici e capisce che non è ciò che vuole. Ma proprio quando con l'ultimo salto a disposizione sembra aver
trovato una soluzione accettabile, scopre che questa causerà la morte del suo amico K?suke Tsuda. Ma nell'istante in
cui il ragazzo sta per essere investito da un treno, il tempo si blocca e Makoto scopre di non essere l'unica
viaggiatrice del tempo.
